On June 6th of 1674, Cecilius Calvert, Maryland's 2nd Lord Baltimore, created a new county. He carved land out of Baltimore County and gave it his name. This year, Cecil County is celebrating its 350th anniversary. Experience Cecil's heritage at local history attractions, presentations, and events. Continue to stay tuned for ongoing additions.
