The Cecil County Sheriff's Office Bureau of Law Enforcement has 98 sworn positions and 19 support staff employees. The agency is divided into three divisions; The Patrol Division consisting of Patrol Squads, the Traffic Unit and the K9 Unit; The Criminal Investigation Division consisting of the Criminal Investigations Unit, Cecil County Drug Task Force, Street Level Crimes Unit, School Resources Unit, Child Advocacy, Crime Analysis, Heroin Coordinator and the Crime Scene Technician; and The Administrative Services Division consisting of the Court Security Unit, Warrant Unit, Civil Process Unit, Human Resources, Fleet Management and Administrative Services, Community Resources Unit, Quartermaster, Property and Evidence. The function of each division is an important component in assuring the efficient delivery of police services.
The Cecil County Sheriff’s Office provides full law enforcement services including enforcing both motor vehicle and criminal laws, serving warrants and civil process papers, responding to routine and emergency calls, and investigating criminal and drug violations.
