The Cecil County Department of Parks and Recreation would like to recognize Cris Carbaja Bernal and Steven Lopez Sanchez of the Cecil County School of Technology for their artistry and craftsmanship.  These extraordinary, one of kind trophies, will be presented on September 21st at the 3rd annual “for the kids car show’ held by CCPR.  A sincere thank you to the Automotive Tech class for their continued partnership with CCPR.

 Drake Morales

Drake was recently inducted into the Junior Honor Society at Rising Sun Middle School and completed his Community Service hours at the Cecil Community Center.

Watershed Steward Academy Rain Garden

Bryan Lightner, Master Watershed Steward, along with our Department of Public Works, organized a rain garden planting party on April 1st at the Calvert Regional Park.  Community volunteers, students, and West Nottingham Academy spent the morning planting 400 native species in one of the stormwater management retention areas of the park.
