§17-1903 –Alcohol Awareness Program |

(a) All employees in a supervisory capacity and all bartenders shall: |
||||
(1) be certified by an approved alcohol awareness program; and |
||||
(2) at minimum one certified person must be present on the licensed premises during the hours in which alcohol may be sold. |
||||
(b) Penalty – A license holder who violates this section is subject to: |
||||
(1) for a first offense, a $100 fine; and |
||||
(2) for each subsequent offense, a fine not exceeding $500 or suspension or revocation of the license or both |
||||
|
||||
Certification must be renewed every four years to remain current. |
||||
|
||||
Temporary licenses are exempt from this mandate. |
||||
|
||||
Failure to have a certified representative may result in license renewal delays, as well as, fines, suspensions or even revocation of your retail alcohol beverage license. |
