Honor Guard Picture

The Honor Guard was established in 2022 with five members who completed and attended the National Honor Guard Academy in Connecticut. The course challenged the members both physically and mentally. The Cecil County Department of Emergency Services honor guard was established to honor local first responders during ceremonies, funerals, special events and the local community of Cecil County. Since establishment, the honor guard has received donations from local sponsors supporting the honor guard.

Members of the honor guard donate their time and are volunteers. While donations are appreciated and are not required for a request. This unique group is funded fully from donations, any amount of donations would be greatly appreciated.

The Honor Guard will need be notified at least 30 days prior to an event request. This amount of time is needed to gather logistics and requested personnel to accommodate the request.
