Director Wayne Tome, Sr.          

Director Wayne Tome has over 40 years in public service, most notably with the Baltimore County Fire Department. Director Tome began his service in 1983 and rose through the ranks and retired as a Division Fire Chief.

Locally with the Water Witch Fire Company, Director Tome has held several ranks including both Fire and EMS Chief. He has also served the Town of Port Deposit as Mayor.

His experience both in the field of public safety and local government have afforded Director Tome with the experience needed to guide the Cecil County Department of Emergency Services as the department moves forward. 

He has extensive training through the National Fire Academy, the Baltimore County Fire Department, and the University of Maryland.

He, along with his wife Sheila, are longtime residents of the community where they raised their two children.
