MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

REZONING HEARING

April 22, 2008

The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County met in regular session at the County Administration Building, 107 North Street, Elkton, MD on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. The following members of the Board were present:

• William C. Manlove, President
• Rebecca J. Demmler, Commissioner
• Brian Lockhart, Commissioner
• Wayne L. Tome, Sr., Commissioner

Constituting a majority Board.

The meeting was called to order by President Manlove at 2:00 p.m. and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Alfred C. Wein, Jr., County Administrator read the application and swore in all witnesses presenting testimony.

File No. 2008-01 - Applicant: Gary & Mary Sue Slagle, Property Location: Lot 52, Marley Farms, Childs Road, Elkton, MD. Election District: 3, Tax Map: 20, Parcel 316. Presently Zoned: Suburban Residential (SR), Request: To rezone 1.16 +/- acres from Suburban Residential (SR) to Heavy Industrial (M2). Property Owner: Gary & Mary Sue Slagle.

Mary Sue Slagle appeared before the Board and stated that she would not be offering any testimony in support of the rezoning application and does not wish to proceed at this time.

Commissioner Lockhart made a motion to disapprove the application, which was seconded by Commissioner Demmler. The motion was carried by a unanimous vote.

With no further business to discuss, the meeting concluded.
