Suicide Awareness, Education & Prevention Panel Discussion
Cecil County community members whose lives have been impacted by suicide joined the Department of Community Services and the Affiliated Sante Group to discuss suicide prevention, education, treatment, and local resources. A special thanks to the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office and Cecil County Public Schools for joining this important discussion. |

The Community Wellness Division
The Community Wellness Division provides and promotes a wide variety of health and wellness opportunities, nutrition programs, and social and recreational activities. The Division has strong partnerships with the Cecil County Health Department, Cecil College, the YMCA of Cecil County, ChristianaCare, and Union Hospital Cecil County. - Elkton Senior Activity Center
- Healthy Lifestyles Fitness Center
- Healthy Options Program for Seniors (H.O.P.S.) - FREE classes designed to help adults 55+ get in shape and stay there! Please see schedule and classes on the right or call 410-996-8177. Please click here to be directed to our SOLAR page for the class schedule.
- Home Delivered Meal Program - a hot, nutritious noon meal and a cold box lunch are delivered three days a week to eligible homebound persons 60 years of age and older. Client contributions are solicited. Call 410-996-5295 to schedule an eligibility screening.
- Living Well: Take Charge of Your Health - free programs for people who cope with a chronic disease or care for someone with a chronic condition. Our Living Well flyer provides lots of information. Splashing Seniors Program -This program is a great way to get some exercise and meet new people at the same time.
All interested community members (60 and above) must register in person at Cecil County DCS-Community Wellness Division Elkton Center located at 200 Chesapeake Blvd. Elkton, MD 21921. The Elkton Center is easily accessed via the first floor, which is the REAR entrance of the County Administrative Building.
