dogandpersonCecil County Animal Services is the only open admission shelter here in Cecil County. We are the only organization responsible for accepting stray and owned animals in need. We take in roughly 3,000 animals a year and operate with the commitment to a life-saving philosophy. We accept animals 365 days a year and seven days a week. CCAS is a safe haven for homeless animals while they await a forever home. We are committed to every animal in need in our county. If you need to surrender an animal to CCAS, you will be expected to provide a Driver’s License as well as sign a surrender form. We only accept animals found or living in Cecil County. There is no fee to surrender an animal. However, donations are welcome and appreciated.

 

Surrendering an Owned Animal

Here at CCAS, we know surrendering a pet can be a tough decision. We want to make this process as stress-free as possible. If you need to surrender your pet, please call the shelter at (410)441-2040 to make an appointment.

Surrendering a Stray or Found Animal

If you have found a stray animal, thank you for taking the time to ensure this animal is safe. Please call the shelter at (410)441-2040 to bring the animal to CCAS or have it picked up by a member of our team. We accept stray animals 24 hours a day.
