Found a Pet
The Cecil County Animal Services Animal Welfare Division is the agency responsible for picking up confined stray animals in our county. All animals picked up by the Animal Welfare Division are transported to CCAS if they are not reunited with their owners by the Officer. Animal Welfare Enforcement Officers have microchip scanners in their vehicles and may be able to return microchipped pets to their owner immediately. If you have found a stray animal, please call us at (410)441-2040. We respond to calls regarding confined stray animals 24 hours a day.
If you would like, you can also transport a found animal to CCAS yourself. However, keep in mind that many stray animals can be injured, scared, or show aggressive behavior. If you feel unsure of bringing a stray animal into your home or vehicle, please call our team at (410)441-2040.
