NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPERTY ACQUISITION
MECHANICS VALLEY ROAD

RE: Public Hearing for Property Acquisition
The Cecil County Department of Public Works, Engineering and Construction Division, will hold a VIRTUAL public hearing, which can be attended via phone or Zoom conference, related to the County's proposed acquisition of property associated with the planned CIP Project; Replacement of Bridge CE0042 Mechanics Valley Road over CSX.
The first subject parcel is identified as 800 Mechanics Valley Road: Tax Map 25, Grid 17, Parcel 105, in the town of North East, Maryland. On February 25th 2021, the County entered into an Option Contract between Fay L. Weaver (Grantor) and Cecil County, Maryland (Grantee) for a proposed purchase price of Forty-Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($49,750.00). The Option Agreement is valid for a period of One Hundred and Eighty (180) days.
The second subject parcel is identified as 752 Mechanics Valley Road: Tax Map 25, Grid 17, Parcel 103, in the town of North East, Maryland. On February 25th 2021, the County entered into an Option Contract between Fay L. Weaver (Grantor) and Cecil County, Maryland (Grantee) for a proposed purchase price of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). The Option Agreement is valid for a period of One Hundred and Eighty (180) days.
