Description: Month-long festival of lights includes a display of the town's growing collections of bigger than life LED displays cleverly placed in north and south Chesapeake City both in town and along the canal-front.  Homes and businesses on both sides of the canal are dressed-up for the holidays as they compete for awards.

The town ice skating rink (synthetic ice) overlooking the canal, is open Friday - Sunday in all weather but rain.  skating lessons from a well-known Olympic coach are available. Check for special rink events.

Carriage Rides with the Clydesdale and Edwardian Carolers appear every weekend. Victorian Formal Teas are held on Saturdays in the Blue Max Inn (reservations needed) and Santa holds court in his workshop every Saturday and Sunday in season.
