This suspenseful stage adaptation of Reginald Rose’s 1954 made-for-TV movie provides a mesmerizing glimpse into the underpinnings of the American judicial system. A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. “He doesn’t stand a chance,” mutters the guard as the twelve jurors are taken into the jury room, where they must render a unanimous verdict. But what appears to be an open and shut case soon becomes a dilemma for the twelve, as their prejudices and preconceived ideas about the accused, the trial and each other turn the tables every which way, until the nail-biting climax. This lauded “must-see” drama will be presented for one weekend only.
Recommended for audiences thirteen and up.
Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm.
