Ladies and gentlemen, whether you like it or not… Hedwig! John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask’s full-throttle rock 'n' roll musical marvel will be strutting out to the Milburn Stone Theatre stage for one weekend this March. Hedwig is a glam-rock odyssey that follows the exploits of transgender singer Hedwig, a rebellious force of nature who has gone down as one of musical theatre's most powerful and transformational characters. Brilliantly exploring issues of gender politics, love and acceptance, Hedwig presents an insanely vibrant and absorbing narrative of Plato’s Symposium and the fierce battle of self understanding with love found, lost and found again, supported by the blistering, punk-fueled rock of the fictional Eastern European band, The Angry Inch.
