What’s a DerbyCross, you ask? It’s a combination of cross country and show jumping, all rolled into one course. DerbyCross is a great learning opportunity for horses and riders looking to gain experience or just have a good time! The course combines elements of show jumping and cross-country and includes an optional water jump. The course will not be judged or timed.

Would you like to learn about the sport of Eventing? Derby Cross is a good way to see what it is all about. Horses jump poles set out in a specific pattern and then take off for jumps scattered in the open field. Ditches and logs! Banks and water! We have our riders training and learning. Fun to watch and great to spend time in the wonderful resource of Cecil County, Fair Hill Nature Preserve!
