NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
HOLLOWAY BEACH – LOW PRESSURE SEWER SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION
In accordance with §97-14 of the Code of Cecil County, the Cecil County Department of Public Works (DPW) will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed project. The hearing will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. at the Charlestown Fire Hall, 307 Market Street, Charlestown, Maryland 21914 regarding the proposed construction of low pressure sewer within the Holloway Beach community.
The Construct Holloway Beach Sewer Capital Improvement Project #55041 is intended to provide sanitary sewer service to the Holloway Beach community lying generally to the west of the Northeast River, south of the Town of Charlestown and east Carpenters Point Road and north of the Northeast River Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant.
A map showing specifically which parcels will be served by the project is available on the Cecil County DPW website at www.ccgov.org and at the County Administration Building, 200 Chesapeake Boulevard, Elkton, Maryland. Prior to the start of the Public Hearing, from 6:00 – 6:25pm, staff members from DPW will conduct an informal public information session regarding the proposed Holloway Beach low pressure sewer extension. Property owners and other interested stakeholders will have the opportunity to view a map showing the parcels to be served by the proposed sewer extensions and to ask questions to help better understand the project. The formal public hearing will promptly commence at 6:30pm following the information session.
Persons wishing to provide input but who are not able to attend the public hearing may do so in writing via e-mail to koconnor@ccgov.org or by letter addressed to Director of Public Works, Cecil County Administration Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd, Suite 2400, Elkton, Maryland 21921. For best consideration, written input should be received by 5:00pm, Friday, August 18, 2023.
