NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ELKTON WEST SANITARY SEWER SUBDISTRICT

TRIUMPH INDUSTRIAL PARK PUMP STATION

RE: Public Hearing for Acquisition of Wastewater Treatment Facility, Sewer Collection System and Pump Station Property

The Cecil County Department of Public Works, Engineering and Construction Division, will hold a public hearing related to the County's proposed acquisition of property to locate a new sewer pumping station associated with the planned connection of Triumph Industrial Park to County sewer along with the acquisition of the existing sewer collection system and wastewater treatment facility (to be decommissioned) currently serving the industrial park. The subject 0.27-acre pump station property will be subdivided from a parcel identified as Tax Map 26I, Grid 5, Parcel 52, located at 505 Blueball Road, Elkton, Maryland.

On October 4, 2021, Triumph Industrial Park, Inc. and Triumph Industrial Development, LLC (Grantors) and Cecil County, Maryland (Grantee) entered into an Option Agreement to acquire the subject assets for a nominal consideration of One Dollar ($1.00).  The length of the Option Agreement shall extend from the effective date of the Option Agreement to the date of Closing should the Option be exercised.

The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 6:00 PM in the Elk Room, County Administration Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, MD.
