A mid-eighteenth century tavern presently undergoing extensive renovations. Located on the banks of the Susquehanna River in a small town, it became an important outpost for Union forces, when the town's rails became the end of the train line. It was also a prosperous ferry boat landing in Colonial years. The Tavern was owned by Col. John Rodgers and frequented by famous folks such as Washington, Lafayette, Rochambeau, and Madison.
