PUBLIC NOTICE

Indian Acres

The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County will hold a public hearing on October 6, 2009; 7:00 P.M; County Administration Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, Maryland 21921 to hear public comment in the following matter:

Letter of Intent (LOI) between the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County, Property Rights United Inc., (PRU) and WSC, Corp. (WSC).

The subject "Letter of Intent" (LOI) proposes a systematic approach to enforcement of restrictions and zoning regulations that prohibit permanent residency within the Indian Acres campground in Earleville, MD.  It recites that those "funstead owners" of Indian Acres living there full-time, with no other place of permanent residence, shall be able to remain for a period of up to ten (10) years as they transition into compliance, under certain conditions.

The LOI outlines the process for implementation of this systematic enforcement measure and also establishes a "monitoring committee" that will oversee compliance of its terms.

The "Letter of Intent" and Consent document can be viewed on the County's website and are available in the Office of the County Administrator, Suite 2100, County Administration Building, 200 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, Maryland  21921.
