STRAW VOTING RESULTS

from Forms of Government Public Hearing

            The Board of Cecil County Commissioners announces the straw vote results submitted at the Forms of Government in Maryland public hearing that was held Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Elk Room on the first floor of the new County Administration Building at 200 Chesapeake Boulevard in Elkton. 

85 votes were tallied as follows:

48 - Code Home Rule                          57% of the vote

31 - Charter Home Rule                       36% of the vote

6 - No Change                                       7% of the vote
