The Board of Commissioners summarized the County's legislative agenda for the Delegation in attendance, which included an update on the deliberations with the Sheriff's Office on a collective bargaining agreement for the county; proposed general obligation bond request; proposed sewage sludge and coal combustion byproduct legislation; and the status of funding from the State for the Detention Center. Additionally, the Delegation scheduled meetings with the Board of Education, Sheriff's Office, Elk Landing, Treasurer's Office, Firefighter's Association, Cecil College, Social Services, and Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services.
The meeting ended with a commitment from the Board of Commissioners and members of our Delegation to continue deliberations during the legislative session.
