On May 16, 2017, the Cecil County Council presentation a proclamation to North East Elementary School for achieving the Green School status. Sara Mulkern, first grade student, explained the projects that were done in order to receive this award.

On May 16, 2017, the Cecil County Council presented a proclamation to Cherry Hill Middle School for achieving the Green School status.  Andrew Backert, teacher described what projects were accomplished as Principal Joseph Harbert looks on.

On May 2, 2017, the Council presented a proclamation for
National Building Safety Month to Pat Conway, Chief, and Bill Funk, Chief Inspector, Permits and Inspections.
