2022 Coutz-Executive

County Executive Danielle Hornberger presented a proclamation recognizing Councilman William Coutz for his service to Cecil County and its citizens.

Councilman Al Miller, on behalf of the Council, presented certificates of recognition of Reed Mason, Angela Edelson, and Brayden Madron for their 4-H Diamond Clover Projects on October 18, 2022.

 2022 White Cane Awarenss Day

Council President Meffley, on behalf of the Council, presented a proclamation for White Cane Awareness Day to Don Hausz of Chesapeake City.

2022 Teacher of the Year Fleisher-Pile

Councilman Coutz, on behalf of the Council, presented a County Proclamation to Nadeline Fleisher-Pile as the 2022 Cecil County Teacher of the Year.

2022 Sheilagh's Pantry 10th Anniversary

Vice President Gregory, on behalf of the Council, recognized Sheilagh Weinert for her work with Sheilagh's Pantry that provides food, clothing and assistance to needy families in the Hollingsworth Manor Community.

 2022 Elkton Girls Softball Champions

The Elkton Little League Senior Girls Softball Team were recognized by the Council on September 20 for their 2022 Maryland State Championship and District 5 Championship.

2022 Suicide Prevention Awareness Proclamation of National Suicide Awareness Month was presented by the Council on September 6 to members of FACES, Families and Communities Experiencing Suicide.

2022 Substance Use Recovery

On September 6, the Council presented a proclamation in recognition of National Recovery Month to representatives from the Health Department and Voices of Hope.

 

4.5.22 Insurance Awareness Month

On April 5, 2022, the Council presented a proclamation for Maryland Flood Awareness and Insurance Month, which was received by Wayne Tome, Director, Emergency Services Department, and Steve O’Connor, Director, Land Use and Development Services, and staff.

02.15.22 Cpl Goodyear

On February 15, 2022, the Council presented a proclamation to honor Cpl. Annette Goodyear, North East Police Department, in recognition of her heroic and unselfish action in risking herself to push a child out of the way from an oncoming vehicle.

220118 Shop with a copy

 On January 18, 2022, the Council presented a proclamation in recognition of the Shop with a Cop program to Captain James Russell, leader of this volunteer organization, which arranges for law enforcement officers to spend a day shopping with an underprivileged child for clothing, toys and other gifts for Christmas.
