On September 6, the Council presented a proclamation in recognition of National Recovery Month to representatives from the Health Department and Voices of Hope.
On April 5, 2022, the Council presented a proclamation for Maryland Flood Awareness and Insurance Month, which was received by Wayne Tome, Director, Emergency Services Department, and Steve O’Connor, Director, Land Use and Development Services, and staff.
On February 15, 2022, the Council presented a proclamation to honor Cpl. Annette Goodyear, North East Police Department, in recognition of her heroic and unselfish action in risking herself to push a child out of the way from an oncoming vehicle.
On January 18, 2022, the Council presented a proclamation in recognition of the Shop with a Cop program to Captain James Russell, leader of this volunteer organization, which arranges for law enforcement officers to spend a day shopping with an underprivileged child for clothing, toys and other gifts for Christmas.
