On July 7, 2006, the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County issued Notice to Proceed to Nowland Associates,Inc. for the construction of a new County Administrative Office Building to be located at 200 Chesapeake Boulevard,Elkton,Maryland. The following county administrative departments/offices are located in the new building: County Commissioners, Administrator, Budget Manager, Human Resources, Permits and Inspections, Public Works,Planning and Zoning, Parks and Recreation, Electrical Board, Election Board, Liquor Board, Facilities Maintenance, Senior Services and Community Transit, Purchasing, Treasurer, Information Technology, Economic Development, Housing and University of MD. Extension Service.

Please be advised that the States Attorney office, Circuit Court, Register of Wills/Orphans Court and Office of the Clerk of Court will all remain in their current offices and will not be affected by the relocation.

Completion of the building was in November 2007. Information relative to the new Administrative Building will be posted here and updated as required.
