Invitation to Bid

Sealed bid proposals for the purchase and delivery of "One each (1) Sullair 225H Portable Air Compressor II or County Approved Equivalent" as described in the specifications for the Cecil County Government, Department of Public Works, Roads Division will be received from qualified bidders until 1:30 P.M. , June 11, 2007 in the Purchasing Department, 218 North Street, Elkton, MD 21921.  Additional specifications and/or instructions to bidders may be obtained at the same location or by calling the Purchasing
Department, (David E. Pyle, Purchasing Agent) at 410-996-5395.
 
Electronically submitted bids will not be accepted.  Bid proposals will not be accepted from contractors who have not obtained original plans and documents from the Cecil County Purchasing Department.

The Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

Upon request, the Purchasing Office will provide vendor lists to requesting parties for all solicitations published unless a vendor/contractor provides a written request barring the disclosure of their information until after specific proposal award.  

LOCAL CONTRACTORS PREFERENCE:  Section 183-21 of the Cecil County Code provides for Local Preference whereby the Board of County Commissioners of Cecil County reserves the right to show preference to local bidders in the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services.
