The Cecil County Office of Planning & Zoning provides staff support to the Board of County Commissioners, the Planning Commission, the Board of Appeals, and the Historic District Commission. This office also implements the goals and objectives of the County's Comprehensive Plan through the administration of the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision  Regulations and the Forest Conservation Regulations. The office is comprised of ten individuals located in the County Administration Building.

Online Subdivision Regulations Updated

On August 18, 2015, the County Council approved amendments to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to concept and preliminary plat extensions. These amendments became effective on October 19, 2015 and make text changes to Sections 3.3, 4.0, and 4.1 of the Subdivision Regulations.  To view the online Subdivision Regulations, please click here.

New Master Water & Sewer Plan Approved

On August 24, 2015, the Maryland Department of the
Environment approved the County's new (2014) Master Water & Sewer Plan. To view the plan

Senate Bill 236 - Adopted Tier Map 

On December 17, 2012, County Executive Moore administratively adopted a Senate Bill 236 Tier Map for Cecil County.  This action was taken in accordance with Section 2.2.4 of the implementation and guidance documents associated with the Sustainable Growth and Agricultural Protection Act of 2012.
