The Cecil County Office of Planning & Zoning provides staff support to the Board of County Commissioners, the Planning Commission, the Board of Appeals, and the Historic District Commission. This office also implements the goals and objectives of the County's Comprehensive Plan through the administration of the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision  Regulations and the Forest Conservation Regulations. The office is comprised of twelve individuals located in the County Administration Building.

Updates to Zoning Ordinance now online

The recent amendments to the Cecil County Zoning Ordinance 
regarding Greenhouses (Section 65),  Major Site Plans
(Section 291), and the Critical Area District (Article XI, Part 1)
are now reflected in the online version of the Zoning Ordinance. To access the online Zoning Ordinance, please go to the"Frequently Requested Documents and Forms" page and scroll down to the letter "Z."
 
Comprehensive Plan Citizen Oversight Committee meeting

The next meeting of the Comprehensive Plan Citizen Oversight Committee will take place on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the Technology Center (Room 208) of the North East campus of Cecil College.
