Specialty Classes & Events

Youth Dance  will be held for 6 weeks beginning Wednesday, September 10th.  Dance will then be followed by another 6 week session beginning October 29.  The complete class schedule is attached. $30/6 weeks.  All classes will be held at the Cecil Community Center, 17 Wilson Road in Rising Sun.

Lil' Tigers Football League  - An instructional based, flag football league for pre-schoolers. This Co-ed program runs for 8 weeks and is held on Saturdays at the Cecil Community Center - 17 Wilson Road in Rising Sun.  Players meet outdoors for a one hour session from 10-11 am, ending with an indoors warm up time with hot chocolate.   Lil' Tigers will meet on the following dates in 2008: September 6, 13, 20, 27 ; October 4, 11, 18, 25.  A second 8 week session will begin on November 1.

The cost for each of the eight week session is $25.00.

To be held at the Cecil Arena, Wee Sports has been developed to teach basic skills in specific sports for youngsters ages 3-5.  Basic skills will be taught in Tumbling, Soccer, Football, Lacrosse and Baseball.

Classes will be held for a six week session starting the week of September 8.  Refer to the attached schedule for offerings.

The Cecil arena is located at 2706 North East Road in North East just down the road from Rising Sun High School. 

The cost for each 6 week session is $30.00.

Creative Craft & Play -  Cecil Community Center, Mondays 9:45- 10:45, Mommy and me format.  Six weeks starting September 8th.  This program will incorporate fun theme day activities with
crafts.  Designed for children ages 2-5 years of age.  $30.00.

Pee Wee Playtime -  Cecil Arena, Tuesdays and Thursdays for six weeks starting September 9th.  This program has an open gym format.  Parent led, self guided.  Children will use play apparatus including a moonbounce, balls, hoops and much more.  Drop in for the full 2 hours or any time within.  Open to pre-school aged kids.  $30.00 for the full six weeks or $10.00/day.

PeeWee Playtime Flier (.pdf)

To be held at the Cecil Community Center at 17 Wilson Road in Rising Sun.  Learn the love of music & rhythm with your little one.  Designed for the littlest ones ages 1-3.  This six week program, beginning September 10th is a mommy and me formatted class. $30.00.

 Musical Munchkins Flier (.pdf)

Naturalist and pre-k specialist, Sarah Kirby will take your tots on an adventure in nature, crafts and storytelling. Designed for children ages 2-5.  2-3 year olds will meet Tuesdays from 9-10 am and 4-5 year olds will meet from 11- 12 pm for a 6 week session starting October 21st . $30.00.

Mom's Social Club - during the above activity on Tuesdays, mom's enrolled can enjoy homebaked delights with coffee & tea and enjoy their time with other mom's while the children are whisked away on their adventures in creativity

To be held at the Cecil Community Center.  This Mommy and Me formatted class is geared to children ages 2-5 and will be held on Thursdays from 2-3pm.  

Your child will learn the fundamentals of painting, clay, stamping, collages and more during this six week session beginning Friday September 12.   a second six week fall session is scheduled to begin October 30.  Each six week session is $30.00.

Cecil Community Center.  Rhyme along with your favorite Nursery for children ages 2-5.  This multi-sensory activity is a mommy and me format class that will meet on Fridays from 9:30- 10:30 am. for a six week session starting September 12.   A second six week session will begin October 31.$30.00
