SOLID WASTE (Landfill) DIVISION

Cecil County Solid Waste Division is seeking Summer Temporary Seasonal Laborers with a starting salary of $10.30/hr. Work 40 hours per week.  

Duties:  Providing customer service; cleaning debris; maintaining work sites and general repairs of county roads, bridges, and landfill equipment; observing safety hazards. Solid Waste has a 3 day weekend every other week - Enjoy a Long Weekend!

Position Requirements: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED). A valid Driver's License is required. Candidate must be capable of consistent physical activity including walking, stooping, standing, lifting, and/or handling light to moderately heavy materials.

ROADS DIVISION

Cecil County Roads Division is seeking Summer Temporary Seasonal Laborers  with a starting salary of $10.30/hour. Roads dept. work 10 hour shifts for the summer. Work 40 hours per week, plus enjoy a long weekend!

Duties:  Include, but are not limited to, mowing, weed eating, flagging, trash pick up, general clean up activities. Maintain work site cleaning debris. Must be willing to work in variable weather conditions including rain, heat, or cold environments.

Position Requirements: Must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED). A valid Driver's License is required. Candidate must be capable of consistent physical activity including walking, stooping, standing, lifting, and/or handling light to moderately heavy materials.

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - I

Cecil County Road Division - North East / Central area is seeking an Equipment Operator - I with a starting salary of $12.22/hr.

Duties: Operating complex equipment including a backhoe and paver; Class B vehicles; Completing essential documentation and maintaining records of truck and moving equipment; digging ditches; trash pick-up; performing duties under general supervision and all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements: Must have High School Diploma or GED; One (1) to three (3) year's related experience operating and maintaining light and heavy equipment or equivalent technical training; subject to working in variable environmental conditions; valid CDL - B required; Flagger certification.
