Cecil County Sheriff's Office - Detention Center seeks a Correctional Officer with a starting salary of $32,469/year with promotion available one year after certification. $500 Sign-On Bonus*

Duties: Include, but are not limited to, supervising daily operations and activities of the inmates at the detention center from their assigned post, monitor conformance to facility rules and regulations and protect inmates from harm and violence.
 
Position Requirements: High School diploma or GED; must be 18 years' of age; valid drivers' license with no more than 5 points on driving record; ability to work various shifts as well as overtime without advance notice; and pass a thorough background investigation. DEPUTY SHERIFF

Cecil County Sheriff's office is seeks an Investigator with a starting salary of $35,630/year.

Position Requirements: Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice or related field and/or certification from the MPCTC or equivalent. A minimum of five years experience in Law Enforcement and two years experience; valid driver's license required; firearms certification or Maryland handgun permit preferred; CPR and first aid certification preferred.

Duties: Include, but not limited to conduct internal administrative investigations of correctional employees and inmates; perform testing to determine the presence of drugs, alcohol, etc.; review investigative reports; train and assist with internal and criminal investigations; ensure agency compliance with the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission and other regulatory agencies; and other duties as assigned.
