DISPATCHER I / CALL TAKER

Cecil County Department of Emergency Services is seeking a Dispatcher I / Call Taker for the 9-1-1 center.  Salary $14.07/hr. plus overtime and an excellent benefits package within one month of hire!

Duties:  The applicant will be responsible for routing calls to the appropriate agency using voice and computer based systems.

Requirements:  High School Diploma or GED, 2 or more years in emergency communications and dispatch field, fire and EMS background and training, Certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher preferred, proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office, ability to use CAD system.

MEDIC/PARAMEDIC

Cecil County Department of Emergency Services is seeking Medics or Paramedics to fill several positions. 

Duties Include:  Responding to medical emergencies, providing extensive pre-hospital care, transporting patients safely to medical facility.

Position requirements:   One (1) or more years experience as a Paramedic. Must be able to make accurate independent judgments; ability to perform duties quickly and efficiently; ability to use different forms of communication including; verbal, written, and use of a 2-way radio. Must be certified as a nationally registered Paramedic.  $19.25/hr.

Medic:  One (1) or more years experience providing advanced life support and certified. $17.33/hr.
