Robert Hodge began serving his first term as Commissioner of the Fifth District on December 8, 2008.
Robert is a long-time Cecil County business owner, and lives on a cattle and horse farm outside of North East. He earned Bachelor degrees from Pennsylvania State University in Business Management and in Agricultural Economics. |

Member - Cecil County Republican Club Member - Cecil County Farm Bureau Member - Cecil County Economic Development Commission Member - Cecil County Chamber of Commerce Government Relations Committee Member - Cecil County Comprehensive Plan Oversight Committee
Robert also received recognition from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) for his participation in the Maryland Scrap Tire Program in 2004, was a recipient of the U.S. Marine Corps Commander's Award for the Toys for Tots program in 2007, and is a 2005 Graduate of the Cecil Leadership Institute.
Commissioner Hodge will represent the Board of Commissioners as a member of the following organizations:
- Economic Development Commission
- Resource Conservation & Development Council (RC&D)
- Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Board (SPCA)
- Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO) - alternate
- Upper Shore Aging Housing Corporation
Commissioner Hodge is committed to improving the transparency and accountability of our County government, being a good steward of the taxpayer's dollars, preserving the rural character we enjoy in Cecil County, and implementing the Comprehensive Plan, among many other things.
